Dr Michael Aondoaseer

Dr Michael Aondoaseer is a Lecturer & consultant Paediatrician with the Department of Paediatrics, College of Health Sciences, Benue State University and the head of the Neonatal Unit at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi. He holds an MBBS from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP Paed) and also a Member of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (MRSTMH). He has expertise in neonatal resuscitation, infant feeding and neonatal respiratory support. His research focus includes neonatology, infant feeding, Malaria and sickle cell anaemia. He is a recipient of grants from the RSTMH/NIHR & TETFUND on Newborn Screening for Sickle Cell Anaemia in Benue State. Dr Michael is the Benue State focal person for the Nigerian Society of Neonatal Medicine (NISONM) as well as a member of the Paediatric Association of Nigeria (PAN), World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) and a research fellow with the Institute of Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi.
